1. Lord Sugar
Multi-millionaire Lord Sugar has come a long way since launching Amstrad in 1968. However, it’s clear the company is still close to his heart. Lord Sugar has ‘AMS 1’ displayed on his Rolls Royce Phantom, which represents Amstrad as well as the initials of his name: Alan Michael Sugar. Avid viewers will recall the license plate on the black Rolls Royce, as it frequents the TV show.
2. Jimmy White
Snooker champion Jimmy White, also known as “Whirlwind”, was once the owner of number plate ‘1 CUE’. However, now the plate has been resold to a private client who, hopefully, is good at snooker! Otherwise the plate seems a bit pointless, right? Whirlwind is now the proud owner of ‘CUE 8OY’ and you can guess why.
3. Tommy Walsh
‘Celebrity’ builder Tommy Walsh has ‘MR D1Y’ displayed on his number plate, a very fitting choice! This plate really expresses his passion for his job as well as his skills. If you spot this plate on the road, you’ll know there’s a handyman behind the wheel.
4. Vinnie Jones
Former football legend Vinnie Jones has ‘personalized’ plate ‘100 VJ’ on his car, now that’s a statement right there! So, what does the 100 stand for? Well, Vinnie Jones’ son claims that it stands for 100%. Vinnie bought his wife a matching plate, ’99 TJ’, however we’re not sure the same rule applies with the number.
5. Nicky Clarke
Hair stylist and salon chain owner Nicky Clarke has a very unique license number. Given his profession, Nicky opted for the registration number “H41RDO”, which reads like “hairdo”. Hairdresser Nicky Clarke has a number plate that reads “H4IRDO”.
6. Paul Daniels
Magician Paul Daniels became a household name in the 90’s with his hit televised magic show. He was also married his assistant, Debbie McGee, and died in 2016. The magician’s number plate read “MAG1C” and reportedly paid £1,000 for it. The late Paul Daniels had a ‘personalized’ plate that read “MAG1C”.

8. Prince William and Kate Middleton
One of the most famous nuptials of the 21st Century, the royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William was watched by an estimated 26.3 million viewers in the UK. But did you notice the ‘personalized’ number plate on the Aston Martin? As the couple drove off for their honeymoon, eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed that the number plate read “JU5T WED”!
