8 Bad Driving Habits that damage our car!

Maintenance can increase the longevity of any machine. We can increase our car longevity by practicing some task so that it can give us sound service. But habits such as rough driving, harsh breaks and major ignorance while driving can cause serious harm to our car health. Let’s see the top 8 Bad Driving habits that can decay our car longevity.

Negligence of regular maintenance:  Our car needs regular maintenance. Car longevity depends on how we maintain it. It is really important to maintain the car in time. Changing various filter along with transmission fluid (air and oil filter) is important, that’s why car making company set the certain time to change them. We can read the manual and take initiative to maintain our car according to manual time. It may be a bit expensive but ignoring of regular maintenance can harm our car, so we should change our filter when we change our oil.

Bad driving: We need to be  very careful when speeding up/down our car speed. If we increase speed and suddenly brake when the traffic light is on it causes harm to the car. If the roads are broken and filled with water, rough driving harms car engine. Bad driving affects each of the parts heavily and increases the chance of ruining our car longevity.

Driving on low fuel tank: Driving on low fuel seriously affect our car pump and filters. Fuel work as lubricant and cooler for the engine. lack of  subsequent fuel causes engine to  heat up and repairing is more expensive which most of the driver aren’t aware of.

Hard brake: Looking ahead pressing the pedals smoothly can save our car from serious injury. The sudden stop and hard brake cause unsafe driving.

Dilly-dally on changing gear:  Gearbox is valuable parts of the car. If you are driving the car on high speed, it puts pressure on tiers & also create unnecessary pressure on the gearbox. This type of habit can destroy gearbox. We can see the manual and set the gear. We should care about this to avoid unnecessary cost of repairing.

Not changing tier time: Since Changing Tier is  costly, so many drivers are not willing to change the tier. But if we don’t change the tier on time it can cause  serious accident on any rainy and muddy day. It also increases the chance of tire puncher

Ignoring lights on the dashboard:  A recent study on Bangladesh shows that about 98% drivers don’t understand the sign of dashboards warming sign.  Such as tire pressure, engine emissions or fog light indicators.  Don’t ignore the dashboard warning because you won’t reach home if you unaware of the dashboard warning sign. Also the little sign and sound our car wants to tell us, such as engine, sign when it gets warm, unusual noises, brake system etc. normal sound and sign mean our car is on right track.

Unnecessary weight: The more the car carries the less it response. Overweight consume more fuel. Everything we carry on the car has a weight and pressure on the fuel and handling. It causes extra pressure on the brake, other parts of the car. Arranging the interior of the car and taking only the essentials can make our car simple and light that will help us to drive safe and sound.

Any Habit is difficult to break, but if we want our car longevity we have to practice some good habits to save our car cost. If we are aware of our bad habits and work on them we can definitely save the high cost of repairing.

Last but not the least, Please drive carefully, our life is precious!
