Unfortunately, sometimes the front glass of a car can be shattered due to injury or accident. In that case, buying a new glass is quite expensive. If there is a crack in the front glass of the car, it also causes problems for the driver to drive the car. So if you can repair car glass cracks by yourself, it will be economical. Let’s find out now how to fix cracks in your car glass.
All you need is:
Blade
Glass cleaner
Paper Towel (Finishing Film)
Tape
Suction cup tool
Warning:
Refrain from doing the job of fixing car glass in the sunlight. Otherwise, it will harden as soon as glass resin is applied. Do not do this in the heat. Follow the steps below to fix car glass cracks in shady and relatively low temperatures.
1. Clean the damaged area
It is mandatory to clean the damaged area of the glass first. Because repairing unclean cracks will not be nice and accurate. If there are any small glass particles in the broken or permanently caught part, clean them with a razor blade. Glass resin does not work properly if you have these tiny glass particles. Once the glass debris has been cleaned and scraped off, give the area enough time to dry.

2. Place the suction cup
Take a suction cup tool when the damaged area is dry. Place the tool on the damaged area in such a way that the thread of the suction tool is exactly along the broken area. That is, the thread sits in the middle of the broken place. Carefully press the four legs of the suction tool and place the tool on the glass.

3. Attach the thread repair tube
Once the suction cup tool is mounted on the broken part, insert the thread repair tube into the middle part of the suction cup. To insert the thread repair tube, it must be inserted by turning it like a screw. Do this by hand, no instrument is needed.

4. Check if the tube is in place.
Once the suction cup tool and the repair tube have been inserted, check that the tool and tube fit properly. This is a very important job. Because, how good the crack repair will depend on how well the suction cup is in place. Notice the underside of the suction tool from inside the car to check if it is in place. If the threaded tube sits right in the middle of the crack or hole, then it is correct to place the suction tool.

5. Pour the resin
Once the suction tube is in place, open the cap of the resin bottle and insert its long head into the suction threat tube. Then gently press the small bottle of resin. Not too much resin is needed to repair cracks or small holes. Two drops of resin are enough. You can also use 4 drops for protection. But not more.

6. Add plunger
As soon as the resin is poured, insert the plunger rod of the suction cup through the suction thread tube and tighten it. As a result of tightening the plunger, the resin poured through the thread will stick to the glass properly. Tighten until the plunger screw stops rotating without pressing. Once tightened, reopen the plunger. In this way, if bubbles or air enters, they will come out of the resin. Then tighten the plunger again.

7. Add the finishing film
Remove the suction cup tool a few minutes after applying the resin. Immediately cover with a finishing film (paper towel) over the repaired area. Then, with a razor blade, carefully mix the resin with the glass over the film. You can stick to the film with tape. This will keep the film in place and not move.

8. Get the repair done
Allow the damaged area to dry completely, including the finishing film. 10 minutes is enough for complete drying. Even then, if you see after removing the film that the resin has not dried completely, there is nothing to worry about. Add one more drop of resin and apply the film again. And wait until completely dry. Again, if the amount of resin is too much, rub the sharp part of the blade and mix the glass with the resin. Continue the whole process with resin again and again until it is completely repaired forever.
